Transformers 3
In an Interview Director Michal Bay talks about some ideas in regards to his Transformers 3 movie, which is projected to come out in 2011, here is what he has to say…
“ It can’t get bigger, we have to figure out to go sideways and I’m wondering where to start. What I’m doing is having Hasbro send me tons of lore and stuff like that, things that we can draw from, and I just have to let it simmer. Definitely more has to be made of Bumblebee in the third one, that’s a relationship you want to explore more. And I think we’re definitely going to get more into the robot characters.
This movie got very big, very grand, we’ve covered a lot of ground. The third one doesn’t have to be as big, we could go darker. It definitely has to be more emotional, it not going to be just about action, action, action. And that’s where I think T3 might potentially go, where things are more undercover and not as exposed”
Good Ideas, In my opinion. I would like to get to know and see the Transformers already involved in this film, hitting us with a bunch of new ones can be an overwhelming task. I loved the second movie, but I felt they rushed us thru soo many different places and so quick..too busy.
I hope no more annoying talking robots will be in the next one and maybe they can add more clothes to Megan Fox ( I have children!!) I mean does she really had to fix her cycle in those short things?? and maybe she should go easy on the tanning.
Anyways, I hope with all and all we get a heck of a show and less confusing new auto bots..like I still don’t know what happened to that pest she caught in her garage, they never brought him up again. And what was up with that old auto bot, I had no idea they could get old..did you?

During the 1980s, one cartoon series ruled the airwaves… TheTransformers. This paragon of consumerism was created with a dual purpose–to entertain and to galvanize children to buy the toys. Somewhere along the line, the show became a cult favorite, so in 1986 they fashioned an epic tale of good versus evil specifically for the big screen. The result looked vaguely like an animated remake of Star Wars. Who are the Transformers? The good guys are the Autobots: Optimus Prime, Jazz,…

The film starts with Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, describing in a voice-over the destruction of the Transformers’ home world, Cybertron. It was obliterated by the seemingly evil Decepticon leader Megatron in his plot to obtain the All Spark. The Autobots want to find the All Spark so they can use it to rebuild Cybertron and end the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, while the Decepticons want to use it to defeat the Autobots and lay waste to the universe. Megatron discovered the All Spark on Earth, but crash-landed in the Arctic Circle and ended up frozen in the ice. Captain Archibald Witwicky and his crew of explorers came across Megatron’s body in 1897. Captain Witwicky mistakenly activated Megatron’s navigational system and his eye glasses were imprinted with the coordinates of the All Spark’s location, an incident that left him blind and mentally unstable. Sector 7, a secret United States government organization founded by Herbert Hoover, discovered the All Spark in the Colorado River and built the Hoover Dam around it in order to hide its energy emissions. The still-frozen Megatron was transferred into this facility and was used to advance human technology by means of reverse engineering.
In the present day, the group of Decepticons — Blackout, Scorponok, Frenzy, Barricade, Starscream, Devastator and Bonecrusher — have landed on Earth and taken the disguise of Earth vehicles (except Scorponok, who hides within Blackout). Blackout and Scorponok launch an attack on the U.S. SOCCENT foward operations base in Qatar and attempt to hack into the U.S. Military network to find the location of Megatron and the All Spark. Their mission is stopped when the base staff severs the network cable connections. Blackout destroys the rest of the base, while Scorponok chases a small group of survivors, lead by captain William Lennox and sergeant Robert Epps, but he is eventually repelled and, after his tail is destroyed, hides in the sand. This battle leads the military to discover the only effective weapons against the Transformers’ armor are high-heat sabot rounds.

After Blackout’s failed attempt, Frenzy sneaks into Air Force One to again hack into the military network, leaving a virus. He finds the map imprinted on the Captain Witwicky’s glasses. Witwicky’s descendant Sam Witwicky plans to sell the glasses on eBay. Frenzy and Barricade start tracking Sam’s location; but Autobot scout Bumblebee is already on Earth, disguised as a 1976 Chevrolet Camaro, He is purchased by Sam while shopping for his first car and eventually helps him win over his crush, Mikaela Banes. Bumblebee leaves at night to send a homing signal to the rest of the Autobots, and Sam sees him in robot mode. After an incident, Sam is arrested, and, in the police station, tries to explain the police officer what happened, but the man just thinks he’s on drugs. When Bumblebee returns the following day, Sam leaves, believing the car is stalking him; that leads him directly to Barricade. He and Mikaela are saved by Bumblebee. Frenzy’s body is damaged by Sam, but he changes into Mikaela’s cellphone and hides in her purse. They leave to meet with the rest of the Autobots — Optimus Prime, Jazz, Ironhide, and Ratchet — who have landed on Earth and taken the forms of Earth vehicles as well. Sam and friends return to Sam’s home and pick up the glasses; however, agents from Sector 7 arrive and take Sam and Mikaela into government custody. The Autobots disrupt the arrest, but Sector Seven eventually captures Bumblebee, Sam, and Mikaela.
Sam and Mikaela are taken to Hoover Dam, as are Lennox and Epps, under Defense Secretary John Keller’s orders. Frenzy sends an alert to the other Decepticons and manages to make his way into the computer system, freeing Megatron from his frozen status. Sam convinces the Sector 7 agents to release Bumblebee so that he can deliver the All Spark to Optimus Prime.Frenzy’s virus has already shut down government communications, but Keller and two computer hackers by the names of Maggie and Glen are able to establish a signal to the Air Force in order to support the Autobot-human convoy, who have gone to nearby Mission City to hide the All Spark. The Decepticons attack and Bonecrusher, Frenzy, Jazz, Devastator and Blackout are all destroyed during the battle. Sam, who was told to put the All Spark into Optimus Prime’s chest (which would destroy Optimus Prime) if the battle went in Megatron’s favor, neglects what he was told and chooses to ram the All Spark cube into Megatron’s chest instead, destroying it and killing Megatron at the same time. Optimus takes a small piece of the All Spark from Megatron’s corpse, but realizes that with its destruction, their home world Cybertron cannot be returned to normal. Following this, Optimus sends a signal to other surviving Autobots in the universe, ordering them to their new home, Earth. The government orders the closure of Sector 7 and has the dead Decepticons dumped into the Laurentian Abyss. Starscream, who ran from the fight when the tide turned is shown escaping into space.

The original Hasbro’s Transformers line of toys took the world by storm and has inspired countless animated films and cartoon series over the years, and now it has become one of the most successful live action films in recent history. Directed by Michael Bay, Transformers does a great job of capturing the essence of the cartoons while reinventing them for modern audiences.
In case you’ve been under a rock for the past two decades, Transformers is about two warring factions of machines from outer space, the Autobots (good guys) and Depticons (bad guys) that have come to Earth in search of the Allspark.
The Autobots, led by the righteous Optimus Prime are in a race to salvage the Allspark before the Decepticons, following the villainous Megatron, can get their hands on it and turn all of Earth’s machines and technology into more soldiers for the Decepticon army to wipe out humanity.
Shia LaBeouf, plays Sam Witwicky and heads up the cast of humans in this CGI action fest. He does a great job as the main protagonist and sucks the audience in with his off brand humor and charm. Sam’s first car ends up being the Autobot, Bumblebee, and transforms from a 1970’s Chevy Camaro to the brand new 2009 edition. Sam befriends the hottest girl in school, Mikaela, played by Megan Fox, and they end up in the middle of the galaxy spanning robot conflict.
Besides the already mentioned Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee various incarnations of your favorite Transformers make an appearance. Fans will relish seeing Ironhide, Jazz, Ratchet, Barricade, and Starscream make their big screen debuts.
The action in this film frantically jumps between robot and humans, the latter of which is rounded out between actors like Jon Voight playing the secretary of defense; Tyrese Gibson and Josh Duhamel as U.S. soldiers who help take the fight to the Decepticons from the Middle East to the Hoover Dam; John Turturro steals scenes as a spastic secret government operative; and Anthony Anderson and Rachael Taylor provide humor and additional eye candy as computer hackers that are hired to help the government crack the Decepticons mysterious signal that is stealing information from government databases.Bernie Mac also makes a small cameo at the beginning of the film as the hilarious used car dealer that initially puts Bumblebee in the hands of our main character, Sam.
Ultimately it’s the films visuals that deem it worthy of being called one of the best summer blockbusters of all time. The VFX are jaw dropping as well as awe inspiring. From the first moment you see Optimus Prime transform in full glory into his well known semi truck and back until the final battle that takes place along highways and downtown cityscapes. Michael Bay throws in tons of explosions and showcases new military hardware with the blessing of the United States Armed Forces. From slow motion giant robots flipping over beautiful women and launching missiles to slick family humor, Transformers is everything you could possibly want from a summer film. With a run time of almost two and a half hours you will be so wrapped up in the film you won’t even notice how long you’ve been in the theater.
